What to write about
- Corrections. If you believe something in a guide is inaccurate or out of date, please tell us — and include the page address if you can. Corrections are a trust feature here: every factual correction is reviewed, and when a guide is wrong, we fix it and give the article a new “last verified” date.
- Topic requests. Questions owners of aging dogs are struggling with are exactly what this site is for. Requests shape what we research next.
- Questions about the site. Advertising, permissions, and anything about how Gray But Golden works.
What we can’t do
- We can’t advise on your individual dog. We don’t know him, we can’t examine him, and no website should pretend otherwise. For questions about a specific dog’s health, eating, behavior, or medication, your own veterinarian is the only right answer — please don’t wait for a reply from us instead.
- We are not an emergency service. If your dog is struggling to breathe, has collapsed, is having a seizure, can’t urinate, has a swollen abdomen, or you think he may have eaten something poisonous, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital immediately. Do not wait for an email.
Response expectations
We read everything that arrives. We aim to reply to most messages, but as a small site we can’t guarantee a response to every one — and for anything involving an individual dog’s health, the reply will always be the same: please talk to your vet. Correction reports are prioritized and are always reviewed, whether or not we write back.
